Agnes Marie Doyle was born September 16, 1911 in Iowa City, Iowa the daughter of James and Mary (Nelson) Doyle. She graduated from Immaculate Conception Academy, Davenport. Agnes was united in marriage to William M. McAninch in 1933 in Sterling, Illinois. They celebrated 55 years of marriage prior to his passing March 2, 1988.
Agnes was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Cathedral. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother. Spending time with her family was her greatest joy.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children and their spouses, Diana (Gene) Nicewanner, Plainfield, IL, Mary Ellen (Terry) Christian, Davenport, David (Marilyn) McAninch, Yuma, AZ, Tom McAninch, Davenport; a son-in-law, Alan Ohl, Bettendorf; 15 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters, Loretta Berrie, CA, and Edna Wendt, Bettendorf.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Janet Ohl, a son, Edward McAninch, and her brothers, Charles and James.
