Death Claims Mrs. Anna Schurch- Beloved Matron Passes Away in Local Hospital- Death claimed Mrs. Anna Schurch of Peterson Creek Saturday night. She had been in the hospital since Thursday. She was the wife of Christian Schurch and had resided in the valley for the past 55 years. She was loved by all who knew her and is best described as a good neighbor. She knitted tirelessly for the men in the armed forces both in the first world war and the present one. It is said of her that probably no other woman in this area knitted so much for her country's soldiers. She was a member of the Degree of Honor and of the Lutheran church. She is survived by three sons and their wives; Walter, Edward and Dr.Charles.
