The following is an account of the death of Henry Gustav, and Mary Louisa Angstrom, which occurred within a week of each other at the family home in South Moline, from pneumonia.
Henry Gustav Angstrom was born in Sweden, Feb. 22, 1845, and was aged 67 years and 12 days. he died at his home in South Moline, at 2:20 p.m. March 4. Mr. Angstrom was united in marriage in Sweden, and came to Galva, Ill., in 1871, his wife following a year later.
The couple then came to Iowa and made their home near Blue Grass, where they farmed for 33 years. Seven years ago they moved to South Moline on a farm which they purchased in 1888. Mr. Angstrom had been ill since Feb. 23. Besides the children mentioned in the obituary of Mrs. Angstrom (two sons, C.J. Angstrom of Blue Grass, and Emil G. Angstrom of South Moline, a son-in-law, William Brus of Buffalo township and several grandchildren.) he is survived by two brothers, Frank and Ludwig, of Holdredge, Neb.
