Carl loved life, especially life outdoors. He was an advid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed spending time with his family, especially camping. He played golf and was a natural prankster who enjoyed joking with his family and friends who will dearly miss him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law, Mark Gibson.
Survivors include his wife; Tammy Boykin of El Dorado, two sons; Cannon Boykin (Julie) of Parkers Chapel and Clint Boykin (Tiffany) of El Dorado, three brothers; Byron Boykin (Cathy) of West Monroe Louisiana, Roger Boykin (Ann) of Sibley, Louisiana and Curtis Boykin (Pam) of Huttig, two sisters; Karen McKnight (Terry) of Delhi, Louisiana and Judy Boykin Gibson Harper (Darin) of Salem, four grandchildren; Hope, Chandler, Chandler Lane, and Jackson, numerous nieces and nephews, a brother-in-law; Chuck Pierce (Elaine) of Abilene, Texas , mother-in-law; Charli Bridges (Jim) of Collinsville, Texas and a host of friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-8pm on Tuesday May 7, 2013 at Perry's Funeral Chapels. Funeral services will be 2pm Wednesday May 8, 2013 at Crosslife Church with Rex McDaniels officiating and burial to follow at Old Lapile Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Curtis Boykin, Terry McKnight, Jeremy Carelock, Darin Harper, Mark Mathews, John Carelock, Howie Doolin, and Chuck Pierce. Honoraries will be Tody Griffith, Roger Boykin and Byron Boykin.
