"Jesse Chapin Allan died in San Francisco on February 16, 1939. The son of Alfred DeWitt Allan and Josephine Reinert, he had been born October 31, 1878 in San Francisco. At the time of his death he was the W.P.A. Coordinator for the City and County of San Francisco. He had resided at 2300 Van Ness Avenue. His wife, Katherine, son William and daughter Kay survived him. (San Francisco Area Funeral Home Records) He was also survived by his mother Mrs. Josephine Allan."
I believe Jesse's mother, Josephine C. Allan was buried at Cypress Lawn Cemetery in 1942.
