Rites Held For Former Penelope Resident, Wed.

Mrs. Frances Blahuta, 94, of Dallas died Monday night at her home. She was a former resident of Penelope.

Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Aderhold Chapel in West, with Rev. George Doskocil officiating. Requiem mass was celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Penelope, Rev. Bohumil Hruby as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery in Penelope.

Mrs. Blahuta was a native of Flatonia and was born in 1879. She was a housewife.

She was a member of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Penelope. Her husband, Joseph Blahuta, died in 1954.

Mrs. Blahuta had lived in Dallas for the past eight years.

She is survived by three sons, Luther A. Blahuta of Westlinn, Ore., Emil Blahuta of Penelope and George Blahuta of Waco; five daughters, Mrs. Julia Sudych, Mrs. Marie Sudych, and Mrs. Anna Roberts, all of Dallas, Mrs. Frances Kopecky and Mrs. Margie Donaldson, both of Waco; three brothers, Jim Tobola and Emil Tobola, both of West, and William Tobola of Route 2, West; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Richter of Schulenburg; 21 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
