Paul Starbuck was born on Nantucket Island December 29, 1748. He and his wife Mary Coffin Starbuck were Quakers and moved to Guilford Co., North Carolina in September, 1773 per Quaker Records Deep River MM record. 1810,11,5 Tristram dis. (rem) i.e. disowned, removed (Quaker records). Paul passed away in 1826.

According to a 1986 stone survey, Mary is not listed as having a stone. There are quite a few fieldstones in this cemetery and it's possible one may be hers. Besides Henry, the only other Starbuck's listed are Lillie M., Sophia J., and T. Clarkson.
