David Jackson Donham
David Jackson Donham, 76 died at Hershey hospital at 6 o'clock Thursday night after a long illness with heart disease. Mr. Donham was removed from his home in Nichols to the hospital three weeks ago for treatment.
Mr. Donham was born in Clairmont county, O., Oct. 24, 1852. He resided in Muscatine for about 20 years and for the past 21 years had been at Nichols. He had been a carpenter during his life but had but had been retired for the past several years.
Mr. Donham married Lydia A. Palfrey, Sept. 5, 1875 and she died seven years ago. Mr. Donham was a member of the Presbyterian church and of the Masonic lodge.
Surviving are one grandchild, Eunice Cayot; one brother, William E. Donham of Nichols; two sisters, Phoebe E. Wilvert of Chicago and Julia Othmer of Tulsa Oklahoma.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Greenwood cemetery chapel at 2:00 Saturday afternoon by the Rev. V. A. Bloomquist, pastor of the Musserville Methodist Episcopal church. Burial will be in the Greenwood cemetery. The Wittich funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
