Sara Posey Sabo, 92, of Dothan passed away Friday, April 26, 2013 at Wesley Manor.

Mrs. Sabo was born November 14, 1920, near Red Level, Alabama. She spent her early years in south Alabama and graduated salutatorian of Red Level High School. After teaching school for several years, she married Edward Sabo and moved to his home town in western New York State. After twelve years there, the family relocated to Dothan for the remainder of her life. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She never missed an opportunity to teach, whether in Sunday school or with grandchildren at her knee. Mrs. Sabo was preceded in death by her husband, three sisters, and two brothers.

Survivors include her two daughters, Emily Sullivan (Frank) and Suellen Denton (Preston); six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; three sisters; numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service was held on Monday, April 29, 2013 in the chapel at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral home. Burial followed in Gardens of Memory. A special thank you to the staff of the South Wing at Wesley Manor for the loving care she received.
