Richard W. Marshall, 65, of Jeannette, formerly of Wampum, died Monday, Jan. 21, 2013, in Excela Health Westmoreland Hospital, Greensburg. He was born April 29, 1947, in New Castle, a son of the late John David and Jean Wallis Marshall. He worked as a foreman for Art Panichella Construction. He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He was a member of Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette, the church's Holy Name Society and Grapeville Fire Department. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jonathan Marshall; grandson, Richard Jonathan Marshall; and father-in-law, John P. Gongo. He is survived by his wife, Cecelia Gongo Marshall; son, Richard Marshall and his wife, Jennifer, of Jeannette; daughter, Heather Hill and her husband, David, of Butler; granddaughter, Chloe Marshall; sister, Sandra Dick and her husband, Kenneth, of Elyria, Ohio; sister-in-law, Joan Neidigh, of White Oak; and nieces and nephews, Jeremy Neidigh and his wife, Mandy, of Adamsburg, Doug Kozusko and his wife, Dolores, of Lorraine, Ohio, and Laurie Lutz, of Columbus, Ohio. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the JOHN V. GRAZIANO FUNERAL HOME INC., 228 N. Second St., Jeannette. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Sacred Heart Church, Jeannette. Interment will follow in St. Boniface Cemetery, Irwin.
