John Henry Wells, 70, of Galesburg, IL. died at 7:45 pm Thursday, February 29, 1996 at Galesburg Cottage Hospital.
Born January 18, 1926 in Galesburg to Richard and Rosetta Agans Wells, he married V. Irene West on May 2, 1961 in Galesburg. She Survives.
Also surviving are 3 sons, Jim Curtis, of Galesburg, John Farris of Cameron and James Len Wells of Oceanside, CA.; 2 daughters Crystal (Jerry) McCaw of Galesburg and Pat (AB) Perkins of West Salem, WI.; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother, Jack Wells of Onalaska, WI. And one sister Mable (Fred) Trulson of Holman, Wi.
He worked for Rowe Manufacturing Co.in Galesburg for 30 years. He then worked for Butler Manufacturing Co. For 14 years, retiring in 1988.
John was an army veteran of the Korean War.
He was a member of First Christian Church of Galesburg.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday March 4, 1996 at Hinchliff-Pearson-West, Galesburg Chapel. The Rev. David Seitz will officiate.
Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the chapel,
Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Galesburg.
Memorials may be made to his church.
