Cleora J. Straub, 99, of Springfield died at 1:18 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Medical Center. She was born July 23, 1894, in Chandler, Okla., the daughter of O.F. and Rena B. Sexton Jennings. She married Henry E. Straub; he died in death in 1974. Also preceding her in death were two sons, Leo Burnam and Charles F. Straub II; two sisters, Margie Foster and Gertrude Grogan; and three brothers, Ben, Odes, and Russell Jennings.
Mrs. Straub was formerly employed by Illinois Bell Telephone Company and Myers Brothers and retired from Sears, Roebuck and Co. She was a member of Douglas Avenue United Methodist Church and was active in the Republican Party.
Surviving are six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
