That misfortunes do not come singly is shown in the family of J.E. Weybright, east 4th street, where the mother, a son and two daughters are all very dangerously sick, the brother being at the point of death from typhoid fever. Both the daughters are suffering from scarlet fever and the mother is ill with malaria fever. Two trained nurses have been taking care of the patients for the last two weeks and a third nurse was secured this week.

The most dangerous ill of the four is the young man, Earl, a well known former high school athlete. He is undergoing a hard attack of typhoid fever and his condition at present is very critical, it being feared that he may not recover. The sisters Edith and Ivy, are both very sick, the former being in a weakened condition from an attack of typhoid fever when she was taken down with the scarlet fever. The mother was the last of the family to be stricken with sickness and now she is confined to her bed with a bad attack of malaria fever.

Besides the sickness in his family, Mr. Weybright has had other misfortunes in the last few months. It has not been long since the Weybright home east of town, and all the contents were destroyed by fire.

FAMILY IMPROVES

The rays of hope and returning health come to the J. E. Weybright family, East 4th Street, that has been so sorely afflicted and passed through the valley of death and sorrow because of the ravages of typhoid fever. The mother is now strong enough to sit up, the last of four children and the father to be victims of the disease. Only one in the family escaped-the oldest daughter. As known by The Telephone readers, the only son did not survive the attack.

For over ten weeks the home has been a hospital. Four lay sick at one time requiring the greatest care as the disease was in its most dangerous form.

With it all was the sadness of the son's death. The cost of the misfortune to Mr. Weybright has been little less than $1,000. Dr. Tourner ascribes the trouble to water used while the family lived in the country.
