Beverly A. Elandt (1936 - 2012)

Beverly A. Elandt, age 76 of the Township of Dupont, Waupaca County, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 16, 2012 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.

"Bev" was born on March 10, 1936 in New London, the daughter of the late Hugo and Elwirt (Schwan) Papendorf. She graduated from Marion High School in 1953. On May 12, 1956, Bev married Edward Elandt at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Oshkosh. The couple made their home in Oshkosh where Bev worked at a telephone company. She later worked as a secretary at Morgan Doors in Oshkosh. In 1998 the couple moved to the Township of Dupont following the tragic loss of their son, Patrick who was killed in an automobile accident. Bev was an excellent cook and gardener who loved preparing meals for her family. She enjoyed feeding and watching birds, sewing and loved playing the piano and organ. Her warmth, kindness, sense of humor and bursts of laughter will be remembered by all who knew and loved her. She was a member of the St., Mary's Catholic Church, Marion.

Survivors include: Her husband of 56 years: Edward, Her sons: Benjamin Elandt, Oshkosh & Christopher (Angela Koch) Elandt, Winneconne, Her granddaughter: Carissa (Special Friend: Josh) Elandt, Oshkosh, Her sister: Susan (Evan "Butch") Stuhr, Tigerton, Her brothers: Gordon "Bud" Papendorf, Marion & Tom (Janice) Papendorf, Caroline, Her sister-in-law: Yvonne "Blondie" Elandt, Marion, Her brother-in-law: Dan (Mary) Elandt, Tucson, AZ, Many nieces & nephews, Her special cousin: Jim (Elaine) Schwan, Marion, Her little dog, "Zippy" and her big orange cat.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Patrick, a sister-in-law, Darohl, Papendorf, a brother-in-law, Albert "Al" Elandt, 2 nephews, Daniel and Kevin Elandt and a special aunt, Dorie Rehbein.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Monday, May 21, 2012 at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Marion with the Rev. Patrick J. Lloyd officiating. Interment will be in the Roseland Cemetery, Marion.

Friends may call at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Marion from 4 until 7 P.M. Sunday, and from 10 A.M. Monday until the procession leaves for the church.
