BLANCH HALL LEE-WORTHINGTON was born on 1 July 1822 in Darkington, Harford County, Maryland to William Dallum Lee & Ann Wilson-Lee.

Blanch stitched a sampler (of the alphabet, numbers, and a floral boarder) when she was 8 years old (circa 1830). The sampler was passed down through the years, and given to the Harford County Historical Society 149 years later, in 1979 by Mr. John & Pamela Nicol, Jr. Then in 1997, Katie Franetovich began restoration and duplication projects from the sampler, both of which now hang at the Hays House Museum gift shop (324 Kenmore Avenue, Bel Air, MD 21014).

Blanch married James C. Worthington on 8 April 1846 in Harford County, Maryland, and they had TWO children of record:

James Moores Worthington (1847-1890) and
Hannah Pamela Worthington-Littig (1855-?).

They also helped raise a Nephew (Memorial #109953750):
J. Kent Worthington (1854-1896).
After Kent's parents passed away in 1857.

Blanch passed away on 20 March 1897 in Darlington, Harford County, Maryland, and was laid to rest at the Darlington Community Cemetery.
