Surviving are two children, Nancy Varner of Huntingdon and Harold "Harv" Covert, Chambersburg; four grandchildren; and a companion, Mary Bowman, Mapleton R.D. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Oscar (Louise) Kerlin, of Harrisburg.
Mr. Covert was of the Protestant faith. In 1988, he retired after 10 years of service in the maintenance department at Penn State's Mont Alto. A U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Covert served with the military police in Germany from January 1946 to April 1947.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 17, at the Martin R. Brown Funeral Home, Orbisonia, with the Rev. William Kilmer officiating. Interment will be in Bowman's Chapel Cemetery, Mapleton R.D.
Friends may call at the funeral home this evening (Friday), from 7-91 p.m., and Saturday, from 9 a.m. until the hour of the services. Memorial contributions, in remembrance of Roy N.
