Dorothy Lee Roberts "Granny", 79, lost her courageous battle with heart and lung disease on February 15, 2008, in Weatherford, TX.
Everything a woman, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend should be and then more, she looked at everyone through the eyes of Jesus with dignity and love. Dorthy was a longtime Memphis resident, a member of Cross Creek Freewill Baptist Church and 35 year employee of Kroger Bakery Co.
She is survived by her children Jonnie Lee Roberts Jr. of Pearl, MS, Paul David Roberts and wife Cynthia of Collierville, TN, Sheila Kathryn Wilson and husband Rick of Aledo, TX, and Lisa Lynn Austin and husband Jimmy of Collierville, TN; 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, siblings. Dessie Lipford of Blythville, AR, Dolmer Ammons of Keiser, AR, and Darrell Ammons of Wellston, OK, and her faithful companion, Sophie.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Johnie L. "Buddy" Roberts.
Services were held at Roller-Citizens Funeral Home in West Memphis, Arkansas. Burial was in Crittenden Memorial Park.
