Mrs. Sara Mann, 81, of Penton died Monday, July 18, 2011 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at LaFayette Heights Baptist Church with Rev Paul Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Penton Church of God Cemetery.
Mrs. Mann is survived by two daughters, Susan (Mark) Mitcham, Penton and Jay (Rusty) Drake, Birmingham; one sister, Exa Allen (Thomas) Rearden, Valley; and five grandchildren, Phil (Brooke) Tarver, Lauren Osborne, Taylor Mitcham, Corrie A. Drake, Mallory A. Drake; three great-grandchildren, Luke and Cade Tarver and Kirsten Osborne.
Mrs. Mann was born in Chambers County, AL on February 15, 1930. She was a member at LaFayette Heights Baptist Church of LaFayette. She and her husband Jack operated Jack Mann Service Station and Jack Mann Construction Company.
Mrs. Mann was preceded in death by her husband Jack Mann and three brothers, Jimmie Paul Allen, Arnold Dee Allen and Beauford Lawrence Allen.
