Josephine Cecelia Dalsasso 76 of Harrison passed away Sunday, February 3, 2008 at St. Mary's of Saginaw, Michigan. Josephine was born September 4, 1931 in Stearns County, Minnesota, the daughter of George and Huldah (Bucholtz) Schieffer. Josephine was united in marriage to Edward J. Dalsasso on September 20, 1951 in South Centre, Minnesota. Mrs. Dalsasso had resided in Harrison since 1984, coming from Dearborn, Michigan. Mrs. Dalsasso was a member of St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison, Women of the Moose Chapter #1804 of Harrison for twenty three years, prior member of the Dearborn Women of the Moose for Twenty years. She retired from Farmer Jacks Grocery Stores in 1984. Josephine enjoyed working cross word puzzles and decorating the Harrison Moose Lodge for holidays and events. Surviving is her loving husband, Edward J. Dalsasso of Harrison, four sons: Thomas Dalsasso of Northville, Michigan, Patrick Dalsasso of Taylor, Michigan, Donald Dalsasso of Lincoln Park, Michigan and Albert Dalsasso of Dearborn, Michigan, four sisters: Evelyn Bieringer of Mesa, Arizona, Louise Hieserich and husband Ray of Sauk Center, Minnesota, Irene Becikus of Southgate, Michigan and Regine Muellner and husband Ralph of Melrose, Minnesota, two brothers in law: John Dalsasso and wife Elaine of Friendship, Wisconsin and Carl Dalsasso of Bradenton, Florida, two sisters in law: Lois Phillips of LaCrosse, Wisconsin and Dorothy Hohlfeld of Coon Valley, Wisconsin, six grandchildren: Timothy, Nicholas, Joey, Jason, Jessica and Michael, one great-grandchild, Devante and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Delsasso was preceded in death by her parents. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, February 8, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. from St. Athanasius Catholic Church, Harrison with Father Noel Rudy officiating. Visitation will take place on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 3:00 - 9:00 p.m. There will be a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. and a Women of the Moose memorial service at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday evening. Burial will be in Pleasant Plains Cemetery, Harrison. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Dalsasso may be considered to: St. Athanasius Catholic Church or Moose Heart-Michigan Building.
