Cristina was born in Tucson, Arizona Territory. She was orphaned at a very young age, reared by the Catholic nuns at the Carondelet Orphanage. She married Narcisso Torres at age 15: she worked as a cook/laundress for the miners in Johnson, Arizona where she gave birth to 5 children. After Narcisso died, she married a Texan, Columbus Baxter Allen, in 1920 in Lowell, Arizona where her 6th child, Charles Villa Allen was born. The family moved to Miami, Arizona where Columbus died and is buried. Cristina moved to Phoenix with her sons where she died in 1961.
