Born in Rochester to Orville and Blanche TAYLOR GILLILAND, he married Eris A. KINLEY July 1, 1945 in Miami County. She survives.
Mr. Gilliland was a truck driver at Skyline Mobile Homes, Elkhart, and worked at Liberty Homes, Syracuse. He was an avid woodworker and craftsman and was a member of Forsyth Methodist Church, Forsyth, Mo. Surviving with his wife, at home, are three daughters, Sheila L. GILLILAND, Logansport, Dinah S. DOWNHOUR, Kokomo, Debra J. NIEDZIELSKI, Stevensville, Mich.; one son, Michael [GILLILAND] and wife Dianna, Rochester; four grandchildren, Julie DOWNHOUR, Indianapolis, Steven GILLILAND, Rochester, Heather RANCOURT and husband Paul, Stratford, Prince Edward Island, Holly NIEDZIELSKI, Stevensville, Mich; several nieces and nephews, including Rita SHRIVER, Rochester. Preceding in death were his parents and one brother, Herbert.
Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Zimmerman Bros. Funeral Home, Rochester, with Revs. Thomas McSHANNOCK and Sandra HUTCHENS officiating. Burial will be at Kewanna IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
