C. James C. Klim Succumbs at 91
C.James C. Klim, 91, of 30 Terrace Place, died at W.C.A. Hospital at 2:42 pm Wednesday. Born in Denmark, July 30 1856 he had been a resident of Jamestown 50 years and in his younger days he served as lay preacher in the Northwestern Pennsylvania communities including Union City and Corry. He was one of the founders of the former Danish Congregational Church here about 40 years ago and the Morning Star Missionary Society serving as its president for many years. He was a member of the First Mission Covenant Church, Sick Benefit Society Bethesda, and Swedish Brotherhood. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Anna Klim; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Malmquist, Jamestown; Mrs. Harold Ickeringill, Ravena, Ohio; Mrs. Mary Ittel, Rochester; Mrs. Florence Merrill, Jamestown; a son, Alfred H. Klim, Jamestown; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Records in Denmark indicate that his birth name was Jens Christian Jenson (Klim) and that he was baptized August 15, 1855. This baptism date would mean that the year of birth on his stone and in his obituary are incorrect.
