Michael was an All State catcher for the Stanley High School baseball team his senior year. Michael was a veteran of the US Army, he served from 1991 until 1995. He served as a Generator Mechanic for Air Patriot Defense during the Gulf War. Michael went on to coach softball in Carthage, TX. He loved gardening and growing vegetables to give to his friends and family. Michael was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is preceded in death by his father, Donald Dean Grimsley, Sr.; brother, Donald Dean Grimsley, Jr.; paternal grandparents, Orleanor and Alford Grimsley; maternal grandparents, Birdie and Dowling Boyd; and maternal great grandparents, Birdie and Blanton Boyd.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife; mother; two daughters; one sister, Angie Darden; and one brother.
We were all blessed to have known such a special man and will miss him dearly.
Services were under Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Logansport, LA.
