Pioneer Woman Is Claimed by Death
Mrs. Louise Evaline Moxley, of 11 D Street southwest, for many years a resident of Miama, died at her home Sunday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock of a complication of diseases.
Mrs. Moxley was born March 21, 1861. She was nearly 60 years old. She is survived by four children. They are a daughter, Mrs. Edna Reynolds who lives seven miles west of Miami; three sons, G.H. Moxley, who lives nine miles west of Miami, T.S. Moxley whose home is seven miles west of Miami, and W.L. Moxley of North Missouri. A brother, A.W. Smith, lives in Hugo, Oklahoma [sic] (Colorado).
The decedent had been ill for about a year. Dr. [sic] (Mr.) Smith arrived here more than a year ago and was with his sister from that time until the end. A granddaughter, Mrs. Gussie Clanninger of Copan, Okla., was also here at the time of Mrs. Moxley's death.
The funeral was held this afternoon at the Calvary Baptist church. Mrs. Moxley having been a member of that church for many years. On account of the absence of Rev. C. Stubblefield, Rev. New will officiate. The burial arrangements are in charge of the Mitchell Fleming Undertaking Company.
