Gladys G. Hardy age 93, former 101 Meridian Heights resident passed away Thursday in Persimmon Ridge Healthcare in Portland. She was born in Fort Wayne December 15, 1919 the daughter of George Thomas and Martha Elizabeth (Glawe) Archbold. She was married to John Hardy Sr. and he passed away in 1986. She was a nurse and member of the Zion Lutheran Church. She was a member of Eastern Star and was a past matron.

Surviving are one daughter Mrs. Eldon (Judy) Campbell of Portland, One sister Joan Storey of Fort Wayne, Four grandchildren and nine great grandchildren and Six great great grandchildren

Funeral services will be Monday at 2:00 P.M. in the Baird-Freeman Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Strietelmeier presiding. Burial will follow in the Green Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Memorials can be made to the Zion Lutheran Church, Jay County Cancer Society or Jay County Heart Fund.
