Elizabeth Katherine Stieben, age 95, died July 17, 2002 at Ness County Hospital, Ness City.

She was born October 1, 1906 in Trego Center, Kansas, the daughter of John Frederic and Katherine Elizabeth Deines Margheim.

She was a homemaker and had lived in the Bazine Community since 1930.

She was a member of St. Paul Congregational Church and St. Paul Ladies Aid of Bazine.

On May 4, 1930, she married Henry E. Stieben at the farm home at Bazine. He died July 7, 1964.

Survivors; 1 son, Larry D. Stieben, Bazine; 2 sisters; Isabelle Stieben, Wa Keeney and Viola Denies, Aurora, Colorado; 3 grandchildren, Gary Stieben, Daren Stieben and Rhonda Rolo, 5 great-grandchildren, Joshua, Charlie and Max Stieben, Mary Elizabeth and James Rolo, 2 step grandchildren, Kendra Mays and Nick Schwien.

Funeral services was held Saturday, July 20, 2002 at St Paul Congregational Church, Bazine, with Pastor Sam Flick presiding. Burial was in Bazine Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the St Paul Congregational Church, the Bazine EMT's or the Bazine Cemetery Fund.
