Memorial service for Foy Ray Head, 55, of Cleburne is 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, at Sycamore Baptist Church in Decatur with Gerre Joiner officiating.

Head died Saturday, Oct.1, 2011, in Fort Worth.

Born April 23, 1956, in Bowie to Burtice Head and Delores Curnutte, he was a caregiver. Head served in the U.S. Army and was an artist.

He is survived by his mother of Decatur; brother Dwayne Head of Joplin, Mo.; sister Kathey Griffeth and husband, Charles, of Decatur; nieces Kasie Maynard and husband, Waylon, and Paige Haynes and husband, James, all of Decatur, and Rachel Miranda and husband, Mike, of Joplin; nephews Monty Griffeth and Scotty Samples, both of Decatur; five great-nieces and great-nephews; and extended family.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
