Samuel Hiram Behel, 76, of R. R. Blairs Mill, died Sunday evening at 6:30 o'clock at the Lewistown Hospital, after a long illness. Mr. Behel was born April 16, 1881, at Waterloo, Pa., son of the late William D. and Angeline Fortney Behel.

He was a member of the Upper Tuscarora Presbyterian Church at Waterloo. He was a carpenter.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Martha Roarbaugh Behel and seven children: Clyde Behel, Clearfield; Herbert J. Butte, Montana; William D., Williamsburg, Pa., and George D., East Waterford; Mrs. Helen Wash, Baltimore; Mrs. Beulah Ballman, Galitzen Pa, and Nelson H. Behel, Clearfield.

Two sisters and a brother: Mrs. Rhoda! Mowery, Lewistown and Mrs. Verna McMinn, Middletown. Ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the Upper Tuscarora Presbyterian Church, with the Revs. Paul Schuler and Harry L. Ferguson officiating. Burial will be made in the adjoining cemetery. The body will lie in state at the church one hour before the funeral. The family will receive relatives and friends at the John L. Agett funeral home, Dry Run, on Tuesday evening.
