Essie Mae Wood 80, of 505 Chestnut Street, Coshocton, died suddenly Saturday morning while visiting at the home of her daughter Mrs Gilbert (Josephine) Simmons of Donna Drive Zanesville. She had been ill for some time Mrs. Wood was born in Crooksville on Jan 31, 1895. She was a member of the Coshocton United Methodist Church.
Surviving, in addition to Mrs Simmons are two other daughters Mrs James (Helen) Russell of Crooksville and Thelma Henning of Coshocton, two sons, Kenneth of Coshocton and Wesley of Columbus a sister, Mrs Lucy Cannon of Lakeworth, Fla, 23 grand-children and 42 great grand-children. Her husband, Herman, died in 1964
The body was taken to the Goebel Funeral Home in Crooksville where friends may call 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p m today and Monday and where service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial will be in the Crooksville Cemetery.
