Nina Fontenot rites Thursday

Nina Fontenot, 75, a resident of Bayou Vista, died today at Lakewood Medical Center in Morgan City.

Visitation will be today from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City and resume at 8 a.m. Thursday.

Visitation Thursday will be from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Ardoin Funeral Home in Eunice.

Joint funeral services will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Bayou Vista Baptist Church and at 4 p.m. Friday at Ardoin Funeral Home in Eunice.

Burial will be in the St. Louis Cemetery in Eunice.

She is survived by her husband, Dallas Fontenot of Bayou Vista; three sons, Ted "Buddy Hicks of Baker, Clyde "Slug" Hicks of Virdine and Jeffery Francois of Eunice; a stepson, Dale Fontenot of Lafayette; three daughters, Mrs. Patrick (Lavonia) Fontenot of Iota, Mrs. Darrel (Dianne) Pommier of Baker and Adele Jeanes of Mansfield, Texas; two stepdaughters, Tressie Verrette of New Orleans and Delores Verrett of Denver; a brother, James Bramham of Oakdale; one sister, Viviam Trahan of Houston; and her mother, Mrytel Bramham of Oakdale; 26 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Hargrave Funeral Home in Morgan City is in charge of local arrangements.
