Funeral services for Dorothy M. Miller, 97, of Davenport, will be 11:00 am on Monday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary. Family will greet friends on Monday from 10:00 am to service time at the Mortuary. Burial will take place at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dorothy Mitalda Peters was born on June 5, 1916 in Davenport. She married Kenneth Miller in 1934 in Davenport. He preceded her in death in 1977. Dorothy and her husband ran Miller's Shoe Service (at 16th & Harrison) for over 30 years.
Dorothy was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Davenport. She served as a volunteer for Hospice for over 10 years. She also volunteered at Ridgecrest Nursing Home for over 20 years and in many cases assisted patients that were 10 years younger than her. Dorothy was proud, independent and helpful. She was the matriarch of the extended Peters-Miller families in Davenport.
Survivors include her son, Jack (Kathleen) Miller of Sun City West, Arizona, daughter, Mary (Dennis) Lamer of Loveland, Co, 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren 2 step-great grandchildren, brother, Chris Peters of Davenport and sister, Margaret Dau of Davenport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Roland, brothers, Robert, Raymond, Wayne, Tom and a sister, Mildred.
