Thomas Cole was the son of Miles Cole & Polly Mary Bailey-Cole. He was born in 1878 and is the grandson of Dial Cole of Magoffin County.
He married Nevada "Vada" Jordan and they had 11 children : 3 daughters - Mary(Large), Zylphia (Conley) and Martha who died as an infant, and 8 sons : Bennie, Boyd, Henry, James, John, Lurman, Harrison and Samuel Cole.

He is buried at Tip Top Mountain at the John Bailey-Menifee Watson Cemetery. He is greatly missed by his large family and many friends.
