George was the son of Melvin Edgar Nero & Eldora Alice Nickolai Nero. He grew up in Wautoma Wisconsin and attended both Elementary and Wautoma High School there. After working for Wisconsin Title Company in Wautoma for a few years he moved, because of his job with the company, to Fond du lac Wisconsin because they were opening a branch office there. He owned a mobile home in the Flood Mobile Home Park that was just outside of the city. He had one brother, Russell Nero and was a former member of Peace Lutheran Church in Wautoma. When he moved to Fond du lac he joined a Lutheran Church there and was a faithful member. He was the grandson of Albert Arthur Nickolai & Ida Marie Henke Nickolai. He never got married as he had wished. George was a good guy. I remember he was pretty mad at me when I scraped his 10 speed bike up when I tipped over while riding over the railroad tracks. He painfully taught me how to play chess. He was a good Monopoly player. He also ejoyed riding his motorcyle. He enjoyed the cars he bought. He was not only just my cousin, he was a very smart and likeable guy. We still miss him and I know his brother and his family still miss him. He left this life way too soon. He was preceded in death by his father, Melvin in 1970.
