Mrs. Gottlieb O'graske Sr, later usually known as Grossmutter (Grandmother) Ograske, wrote to Dr. C. F. W. Walther asking him to send a misionary to the Valley to Blumenau (name of settlement). This is how they received their very first lutheran congregation in 1882. Blumenau is now known as Westcliffe, Colorado.
