She was born on July 24, 1932, in Mansfield Township, N.J. She was the daughter of the late Wesley and Margaret Harrison Allen.
She and her husband, Floyd, celebrated their 54th wedding anniversary on January 20.
Ada was a member of the Oakville United Methodist Church, Oakville. She enjoyed square dancing and belonged to the Whirly Bird Western Square Dance Club. She was an asset to her community and church by offering her time and talents through various volunteer endeavors.
In addition to her husband, Floyd T. Proctor, she is survived by two sons, Wesley and his wife Fawn, Shippensburg, and Howard and his wife Sherryl, Haviland, Ohio; one daughter, Margaret Rowland and her husband John, Bethlehem; seven grandchildren, Megan Rowland Rogers and her husband Brian, Michael and Andrew Rowland, Lindsey, Matthew, Zachary and Ada Grace Proctor, all who brought her abundant joy and happiness. She is also survived by one brother, Alvin Allen, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, May 5, 2005, at 11 a.m. in the Oakville United Methodist Church. The Revs. Peter M. Beddia and J. Grant Brouse will officiate. Burial will be in Cumberland Valley Memorial Gardens.
