Visitation was held at East Lawn Funeral Home, Bloomington. Burial was at Bentown Cemetery.
Mrs. Baker was born Dec. 25, 1910, in Bloomington, to William Madison and Lora Sophia George Suttle. They preceded her in death. She married Willie Clarence Baker on Dec. 19, 1935, in Summerset, Ky. He died July 18, 1986, in Bloomington, IL.
Surviving are her children, Zella (Donald) Davis of Mountain View, Mo.; Harold Baker of Lexington; Shirley (Carl) Bodemuller of Joliet; Lois (Dale) Field of Pontiac; Linda (Roy) Kurtz of Kerrville, Texas; Zula (Allie) Lucas of St Charles; James (Kate) Baker of Aurora; Susan (Charles) Shoemaker of Towanda; Kenneth (Linda) Baker of Bloomington; Abe (Deborah) Baker of Towanda; Katherine (Charles) Begolka of Atlanta; Darlene (Jim) Starkey of Bloomington; and Marlene (David) Ethridge of Aurora; two brothers, Ralph Suttle and Roy (Delores) Suttle, both of Bloomington; two sisters, Edith (John) Kaufman of Gibson City and Anna Skaggs of Springfield; 52 grandchildren; 56 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.
Geneva was a cook at Towanda Truck Stop for many years. She was known as "Ma Baker." She was a member of Towanda Bible Church, where she was a secretary and treasurer for many years.
She will be greatly missed by family and friends. We are peaceful to know she has gone home to be with the Lord.
