Harry F. Harvey of Oceanic died last Thursday of consumption, aged 36 years. He went to New Mexico last winter in the hope of benefiting his health, but he was no better when he returned home than when he went. On the day of his death he appeared no worse than he had been for some weeks, and although it was known that he could not live a great while his death was a great shock to the family. Mr. Harvey was the son of Lydia and the late Samuel Harvey. He was born at Oceanic and had lived there all his life. He was a carpenter by occupation. He is the third grown up son that Mrs. Harvey has lost within five years. Mr. Harvey married Miss Minnie Titus of Eatontown. She and a son Samuel, aged about three years, survive him. Besides a mother he leaves six brothers and sisters. They are Mrs. J. C. Brill, Miss Jennie Harvey, Miss Nellie Harvey and Charles Harvey of Oceanic; Mrs. Newhall of California, and David Harvey of Asbury Park. Mr. Harvey was a member of the Red Men's, Masonic and Knights of Pythias lodges. The Red Men had charge of the funeral on Saturday at the Presbyterian church. Rev. S. W. Knipe preached the sermon. The bearers were George Emery, Whitney F. Williams, Horace F. Longstreet, Joseph Despreaux, Harvey Kettle and Tunis Barkaloo. The body was buried at Little Silver.
