Martha "Ezell" Franks was born Jan. 18, 1931, in Fayette County, Ala., the daughter of Lem and Velma White Franks. She married Thomas W. Hammock Jan. 8, 1949, in Edwah, Ark.
She retired in 1990 as a dietitian at the former Lutheran Hospital, Moline, after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Moline Gospel Temple.
She enjoyed crocheting, baking cakes, cake decorating and ceramic dolls.
Survivors include her husband, one daughter, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her mother, four sisters sisters, and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary, her father and a brother, Louis T. Franks.
