She retired in 1990 as a dietitian at the former Lutheran Hospital, Moline, after 34 years of service. She was a member of the Moline Gospel Temple.
She enjoyed crocheting, baking cakes, cake decorating and ceramic dolls.
Survivors include her husband, one daughter, three grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, her mother, four sisters sisters, and three brothers.
She was preceded in death by a son, Gary, her father and a brother, Louis T. Franks.
