Michael S. Candiello, 98, died June 3 in Kilgore, Tx. Mr. Candiello was born Jan. 17, 1886 in Naples, Italy and came to this country at the age of 17. He resided in Silver City for many years and was the owner-operator of the White Palace Barber Shop, before moving to Kilgore some 13 years ago. He was a lifetime member of the Silver City Masonic Lodge No. 8 A. F. & A.M. Mr. Candiello was preceded in death by his wife Mary, who died June 18, 1953. Survivors include his daughter, Mrs. Dick Laird of Kilgore, Tx; two sons, Henry H. Candiello of Heascader Ca, and Vincent S. Candiello of Bisbee, Az; six grandchildren and 14 great- grandchildren. Graveside services were held June 7 at the Masonic Cemetery under the direction of the Silver City Masonic Lodge No. 8 A.F. & A.M. Serving as pallbearers were U.L. Conner, Harold A. Cope, William J. Colby, Newton B. Glenn, George McDermett, Gerald E. McKinney and Frank Parrish. Arrangements by the Curtis-Bright Funeral Home
