Donald Luther Herb 83 of Peoria Arizona, beloved husband Father Grand Father and Great Grandfather passed away into the arms of our Lord; April 19, 2013.

Don was born April 17, 1930 in Red Cross, PA to Henry and Maude (Noaker) Herb, the youngest of 8 children.

Married to Lorraine Alverta Cook, December 19, 1953, he then joined the Army and served his country as an Army Specialist 3rd Class from 1954-1956 where he learned welding as a trade.

After the service, Donald ran his own steel fabricating business from 1977 until he retired in 2000.

He loved trains and belonged to the Garden Train Club, he enjoyed shooting guns with his sons out in the desert, and enjoyed going on cruises with his wife. He also enjoyed playing blackjack and solitaire. Don's favorite songs were "Old Rugged Cross" and "In the Garden."

Donald is survived by his Wife Lorraine, and 4 sons Ricci, Robin, Jeff and John. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, 5 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter Heather.

Funeral services will be held Saturday April 27th at 10:00am at Resthaven Park Cemetery 6290 W Northern Ave Glendale AZ 85301 A visitation is scheduled for Friday April 26th at the same location from 5-8 pm.
