Mary Christina Spicer, 86, of Nashville passed away November 30 at the Bartholomew county hospital.

She had been in poor health for the past five years.

Mrs. Spicer was born in Brown County, February 4, 1887, the daughter of John and Louisa Acton Voland.

In October of 1908, she married Virgil Spicer, who died in 1951.

Survivors are two sons, Carl W. Spicer, R. 3, Nashville and Walter T. Spicer, Morgantown; a daughter, Sarah Harden, Nashville; two brothers, Ora Voland, R.3, Nashville, and Charles Voland, Gas City; a sister, Mrs. Verna Duckworth, Gas City; and 18 grandchildren and 29 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted December 3, with the burial in Greenlawn cemetery.
