Catherine I. "Katie" Goetz,94, died Tues.October 24,2006 at Manor of the Plains,Dodge City,KS.

She was born Dec.12,1911 at Park,Ks the daughter of John H. and Agnes Theresa Kreutzer Depperschmidt. On Oct.21,1931, she married Michael E. Goetz at Grainfield, Ks. He preceded her in death on May 14,1999.

She was raised in Gove county and moved to Sheridan county in 1931 and in 1973 to Dodge City,KS. She was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe and Altar Society both in Dodge City,KS.

Survivors include: son, Vern(Vivian)Goetz; three daughters, Louise(Norbert)Feldt of Dodge City,KS, Twila (John)Logsdon of Hays,Ks and Iona(Ron)Selensky of Park,KS; two sisters, Betty Kaiser and Bertha Owens, both of Denver, Colo; 21 grandchildren; 57 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son Delmar, seven brothers, five sisters, grandson D.J.Feldt and a great granddaughter, Megan McElgunn.

Vigil services were held on Thurs.Oct 26,2006 at Burkhart-Ziegler Funeral Chapel. Funeral Mass was on Friday, Oct.27,2006 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City with Fr.Ted A. Skalsky presiding.
