Elnora M. Robinson, 99 years young, passed away on Monday November 26, 2012 after a short illness. Elnora M. Robinson was born Elnora Mae Bunnell to Fred and LuLu Belle Bunnell on July 28, 1913 in Auburn Iowa. Mrs Robinson is preceded by her late husband Orphus Robinson. Elnora Robinson was born in a time that is not remembered by many. Elnora was born into a large family of farmers, where the day's work was long and often arduous, but the rewards of the work were shared with family, friends and the community. Elnora often recounted her childhood with great fondness. Elnora Mae Bunnell was married on June 4, 1933 to Orphus Robinson and spent a lifetime of adventures. Mr. and Mrs Robinson are survived by their daughter Lois J. Williams, Grandchildren David Williams, John Williams and Larry & Maria Williams, and Great Grandchildren Nicole, TJ, Brittany, Emiliano, Tyler, Estefania, and Natalia. In the days of Elnora's teen years young rural ladies did not usually attend high school, though she never let this limit her from achievement. Mrs. Robinson had the distinction of being an early restaurateur, seamstress, landlord, accountant, and caregiver. Mrs. Robinson received here GED and later her AA degree in Accounting from Lambson Business College. Mr. and Mrs. Robinson relocated from the Mid-West to Phoenix Arizona in October of 1954 where Mrs. Robinson worked as a civil servant for the United States Air force at Luke Air Force Base and retired after 23 years of service. Mrs. Robinson was devout in her beliefs of a Loving and forgiving God, support of family and community, she faithfully lived them every day of her life. Mrs. Robinson is deeply loved by her family, friends and will be dearly missed. Services for Elnora M. Robinson will be held Tuesday December 4, 2012 at The Crossroads United Methodist church at 7901 N. Central Avenue, Phoenix AZ. Services will begin at 1:00 PM. Elnora M. Robinson will be laid to rest at the West Resthaven Cemetery in Glendale AZ at 3:30 PM.
