The funeral for Mary Katherine Sproat Emmons age 96, will be 3 PM Thursday in Methodist Church. The Rev. Ursula Braunch will officate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cem. arrangements are by Wilkinson Mortuary.
Mary Kathryn Emmons was born Dec. 13, 1905 south of Ames, Oklahoma to Sanford Irwin Sproat and Artie Bell Sproat. She passed away
Tuesday April 9, 2002.
August 28, 1928 she married Harvey Lee Emmons. They were members of the Methodist Church, and she belonged to United
Methodist Women and American Legion Auxiliary.
Surviving are her two daughters Mary Caviness of Morgantown, N. C. and Leta Kirtley of Okeene: four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1974.
