Nona Louise Ashley Miller Wisner, 88, lost her battle with cancer Thursday, May 9, 2013.
She was born November 23, 1924, in Tygh Valley, Ore., to Arthur and Elizabeth Ashley. Her siblings were Roe Ashley and Selma Ashley White.
In 1946 she married Lewis A. Miller. He died in 1970.
In 1972, she married second husband Donald J. Wisner. They met while working for the MCMC Hospital.
She grew up in Tygh Valley, but has lived in The Dalles for nearly 70 years. She took great pride in keeping her home and yard beautiful. She was known as the "garden lady" for the wonderful things she was able to grow. She loved sewing and was always handing out baked goods to loved ones. Her pies were a favorite among her grandchildren. She dedicated her life to serving others.
She was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
She is survived by her two sons Dennis R. and Gregory A. Miller, 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren, and second husband Donald.
She was preceded in death by her parents, siblings, and first husband Lewis.
*Preceded in death also by a Great-Grandchild

A memorial service was held at The Dalles LDS Church on Tuesday, May 14, at 7 p.m
