A lifelong resident of that community, Mr. Hunt was born there August 24, 1871, son of the late Jonathan A. and Elizabeth Emery Hunt.
He was a member of the Junior Order of American Mechanics.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ella Blackwell Hunt; four daughters, Mrs. Marion Taylor of Glenside, Pa., Mrs. George Milner of Trenton; Mrs. B. C. West of Kingston, N. C., and Mrs. William E. McCorkle of Ringoes; three sons, Lester Hunt of Raritan and William and John E. Hunt, both of Ringoes; 17 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Robert Volk of Ocean Grove and Mrs. Augusta Ramsey of Lexington, Mass.
Funeral services were held from the Holcombe Funeral Home in Flemington Wednesday at 2 o'clock, with the Rev. George O. Williams, pastor of the Kirkpatrick Memorial Presbyterian Church of Ringoes officiating. Burial was in the Union Cemetery at Ringoes.
His obituary was published in the Hunterdon County democrat on Feb. 10, 1944.
