Maggie was a Cherokee Indian, born in the Cherokee Nation, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. Her father was Mr. Littlejohn and mother, Emily Adair. Margaret was Cherokee and authenticated on the rolls of 1880 and was a Cherokee allottee. For unknown reasons Margaret Littlejohn was on the orphan's rolls, Flint District, living alone at the Whitacker Orphan's Home. She was living under the name of Margaret Adair, her mother Emily Adair's maiden name.

Maggie was married to John Ross Reeves (a white man) 12 November 1899, at Stillwell, Indian Territory, Oklahoma. John was aged 40 years and Alidia was age 33 years. They had two children: Hogan Tilly Reeves & Jesse Whitacker Reeves. Jesse died young and un-married of TB. Hogan died in Kern County, California. Both children are on the Cherokee Indian rolls.
