Raymond Pike, 90, Edinburg, died Friday at a Grafton hospital. Mr. Pike had been ill the past year and had been hospitalized here since Jan. 1.
Services are set for 2 o'clock Tuesday afternoon at the Church of God of the First Born in Edinburg. Rev. Walter Wellman will officiate and burial will be at a later date in the Edinburg cemetery. The remains will lie in state at the Jensen Funeral Home at Edinburg until 11 o'clock Tuesday morning and then at the church for an hour prior to the time of the service.
Mr. Pike was born at Orchard, Ia., Sept. 21, 1879, the son of Gilman and Hulda Wright Pike. He came to Minneapolis at an early age and attended schools there. He farmed near Nevis, Minn., worked as a salesman for a Minneapolis newspaper and then went to the state of Washington were he worked in orchards for several years.
He married the former Laura Nygard in Vancouver, Wash. They came to Edinburg in 1960.
Surviving are his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Viola Erickson and Mrs. LaVern Michal, both of St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. Otto (Bernice) Gottsman of Park Rapids, Minn.; two sons by a previous marriage, Lloyd Fernquist of Wallace, Idaho, and Cyril Fernquist of Minneapolis; another son Leonard Pike, Park Rapids, Minn.; several half brothers and sisters and 52 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.

Note: Raymond was the father of 3 children, Harold who preceded him in death, Lennie, and Bernice. The other children mentioned in his obituary were Laura's children, step-children of Raymond.
