LOCAL WOMAN DIES AFTER A LONG ILLNESS

Mrs. Bertie Nash, 76, of 612 North Sixth Street, Missouri Valley, passed away at the Horton Nursing Home in Logan, Friday morning.

Her death came after a long illness. she had been a patient in the nursing home for the past few weeks.

Mrs. Nash was born at Centerville, Ia., July 19, 1885.

She was married to Charles Tippery, Dec. 14, 1902. Fourteen children were born to this union. Mr. Tippery, two daughters and three sons preceded her to death.

On July 17, 1948 she was married to Edwin Nash.

She was a long time resident of the Missouri Valley and Mondamin communities.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Nash of Missouri Valley; two daughters, Mrs. Gene Townsend and Mrs. Melvin Arndt, both of Sioux City; seven sons, Herman Tippery of Sioux City, James O. Tippery of Sturgis, S. D., Thomas of Portland, Ore., Gus of Lincoln, Neb., Ed of Omaha, Ernest of Missouri Valley and Fred Tippery; about 40 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements are pending at the Hennessey & Van Cleave Funeral Home in Missouri Valley.
