Alien Martin Clovis
TOPEKA - Allen Martin Clovis, 44, Topeka, died Wednesday, March 26, 1997, at a Kansas City, Kan., hospital from complications of a liver transplant surgery. Mr. Clovis was born March 10, 1953, at Salina and was a resident of Topeka for seven years. He was a Navy fighter pilot from 1976 to 1990, a lawyer, taught at Baker University and was author of Potsdam Protocal and other short stories and poems. He was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars and served in various local organizations.
Survivors include a daughter, Anna Clovis of Fairfax, Okla.; and a brother, Samuel H. Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Combat Air Museum, Topeka. Private inurnment will be later. Memorials may be made to The Salvation Army, 1320 S.E. Sixth Ave., Topeka 66607. Penwel-Gabel Funeral Home Mid Town Chapel, 3121 S. W. 10th, Topeka 66604, is handling arrangements.
